Everyday we receive dozens of emails requesting how to restore the lists after hard disk failures. So, We highly recommend a backup strategy for your SendBlaster data.
This article explains how to make a backup of your SendBlaster data and how to use your backup for reinstalling the list on a new (or newly formatted) Pc.
How do I perform a backup?
It depends on the version of SendBlaster you installed on your Pc. You can use a specific software for making backup copies. But you can also simply copy on an external memory device (such as a USB dongle or a external hard disk) the following folders:
SendBlaster version 1.x:
There are two folders:
- C:\Programs\SendBlaster\data\
This folder contains the file list.mdb that is used by SendBlaster in order to store the lists data - C:\Programs\SendBlaster\history\
This folder contains the SendBlaster history data
SendBlaster version 2.x:
These are the main folders:
- Documents\SendBlaster2\data\
This folder contains the file list.mdb that is used by SendBlaster 2 in order to store the lists data - Documents\SendBlaster2\history\
This folder contains the SendBlaster 2 history data
When you install SendBlaster on a newly purchased computer (or after a disk formatting) you have to replace the “new” SendBlaster folders with the old ones.
The version 1 folders are fully compatibile with the version 2.
